The Best Dog Themed Breweries

Everyone loves a brewery with a theme. One of the most popular always seems to love the dog theme! After all, dogs accompany many of us to brewery so it's a perfect match. Below you will see some of our favorite pup themed breweries we have visited over the years. Make sure to let us know your favorite!

Marley's Brewing - Bloomsburg PA

Starting with the closest to THEbreweryauthority Base of Operations is Marley's Brewery and Grill in Bloomsburg PA. This may not look like your typical brewery. First glance and you may think "chain restaurant", but right off the bat the dog bone flight board gets you in the puppy mood. Choose from a long list of dog themed beers like Rover Red (Irish Red), Husky IPA, Pack Dog Peanut Butter Ale and many more!

Even the tap handles are uniquely dog themed with a dog bone, a dog house, and of course a dog tap handle! However, if you plan on bringing your pup with you to Marley's then you will have to sit outside on the patio since doggos aren't allowed inside the brewery/restaurant due to food regulations. But this stop right off the highway is a no brainer for dog and craft beer lovers alike!

Little Dog Brewing - Neptune City NJ

The first thing you see even before you step inside the front door is the dog mural painted on the side of the brewery. Venture inside this small taproom and experience the mandated NJ brewery tour and check out even more dog decor. The same dog is featured throughout....I am assuming it's the owners dog!

Even the flight glasses have this K9 etched into it and a few dog named beers fill the draft lineup. Little Dog Brewing may not have the size of some other breweries, but this cozy taproom is a must stop for all you dog and beer lovers!

Lunkenheimer Craft Brewing - Weedsport NY

In upstate New York in the Finger Lakes region you have Lunkenheimer Craft Brewing. This rustic taproom is something you'd expect in the cold and harsh area of northern NY. The owner's dog is the centerpiece of this brewery, splattered all over the walls, beer glasses, and more.

Lunkenheimer even looks like a dog house (from the inside) but for humans to guzzle down their unique brews, which range from traditional styles like pilsners, dunkel, pale ales to a few experimental styles. Make sure to satisfy your love of pups with their dog logo T-shirt or hoodie. Very fun, rustic, and relaxed brewery in the heart of New York.

Big Dog's Brewing - Las Vegas NV

Las Vegas is an odd place for breweries. Where else will you encounter a brewery taproom with slot machines built into the bar? As brewery travelers this may be new to you but it's all so common in Vegas. Big Dog's grabs your attention right away with a large and conveniently placed dog statue right out front. As if you need more photo ops in Vegas...

Like all others on this list, Big Dog's has their "big dog" featured all over signage, glassware, and anywhere else you can think! Unfortunately, since this location is a restaurant, dogs aren't allow inside, but the patio is usually packed with furry friends!

Thirsty Dog Brewing - Akron OH

Thirsty Dog brewing may have the most amount of dog decor per square inch of any brewery on this list! This small taproom lives and breathes DOGS in every way possible. Almost every beer is named after something dog related like 12 Dogs of Christmas, Barktoberfest, and my favorite name Old Leghumper!

The taproom is filled wall to wall with K9 decor from the logos of every beer made, to dog bone tap handles, and even a red fire hydrant sign informing the humans of the restroom location. A dog etched into the bar mirror, pup neon signs, and even a sign to let doggy visitors know that the popcorn machine is for humans only..."no paws in the popcorn." Like I said....lots of dog stuff jammed into this cozy taproom

Sea Dog Brewing - Various New England Locations

Dog brewery list continues with probably one of the more well known ones. Got to have a chain brewery on here! The most blatant dog aspect of this brewery is plastered outside the various restaurant/breweries with the actual "sea dog" welcoming you. You may find this pup scattered throughout the taproom as well, but this chain focuses more on the restaurant part of the business than the beer part.

Metazoa Brewing - Indianapolis IN

Metazoa Brewing in Indianapolis LOVES dogs. The taproom itself is more traditional with typical brewery seating and the brewhouse off to the side. Actually, there's not much dog decor visible. What makes this such a great dog brewery then? That would be the dog park located out back. Many breweries allow you to bring your pups, but how many set up an entire dog park for them?! Watching the dogs run around and play is definitely a unique form of brewery entertainment.

Not only does Metazoa build a dog park at their brewery, but they also donate to various dog charities and causes. Really fun seeing this unique style of a dog themed brewery and next time you're in Indianapolis make sure to support and checkout Metazoa Brewing!

Retriever Brewing - Lowhill PA

Retriever Brewing, which is just outside Allentown PA may not have the same amount of dog decor as some others on our list....but they're still named after one of the most popular dog breeds and the logo is 🔥🔥🔥. This wedding venue turned brewery still hosts large events, which makes sense since they have a wide open taproom and an outdoor area perfect for photo opportunities. Landscape gardens, rock features, and even a fountain are just some hallmarks you'll find.

Even though Retriever won't "wow" you with dog decor, you will find plenty of pups inside and out! Overall, Retriever Brewing is simply a fun and exciting brewery to check out and bring your own pup to. Oh and the doggy named beers are quite detectible too!

Beerburg Brewing - Austin TX

Another day for the dogs with a brewery near Austin Texas that has unfortunately closed its doors forever in 2024. Beerburg Brewing wasn't necessarily a dog brewery, but like Metazoa Brewing in Indianapolis, Beerburg Brewing had its very own dog park. Not only did they have a dog park for your pups to relieve some energy, but they also had a separate "kid park" for your kids to run around as well! A dog and kid daycare all in one!

Just as you thought the unique features stopped there....you're wrong. Not only did Beerburg brew their own beer (obviously), but they also made their very only ice cream! And of course they offer ice cream flights that were as unique as their beer. What a shame to see this place go...

Black Lab Brewing - Toronto ON

Probably our favorite DOG THEMED BREWERY is Black Lab Brewing in Toronto ON. They have the perfect blend of dogs and brewery atmosphere! Dogs everywhere....this includes real dogs as well. From the logo to the consistent dog theme throughout the taproom, Black Flag does it best. Even the building is black! If you're two favorite things in this world are dogs and beer, then Black Lab Brewing in Toronto is a destination for you.

The United States (and beyond) has so many more dog themed breweries yet to be explored. Be sure to let us know YOUR favorite dog brewery!

Cheers!
